I am looking for a recipe for a fish boil, specifically for salmon. I did a search and was unsuccessful.

Well there were lots of views and no reply's, so I guess others are interested. I did a search on the internet, and found a recipe that I used for the first time over Memorial Day and liked, so I'll post it here.
For each person you'll be feeding you will need:
3 small peeled onions
3 small new potatoes ( I used and liked red skins)
about 3, 3" square pieces of Salmon. I think it's important to fillet and skin the fish, and remove all traces of the gray meat on the skin side. Also, remove the lateral line and all belly meat.
In an outside cooker, bring to a boil water and salt mixed, 3 gallons of water to 1 cup of salt. I used Morton's boxed iodized salt. Each box holds over 2 cups. I used 6 gallons of water in my cooker, and 2 cups of salt. This was great for cooking for 10 people.
Once the salt water boils, add the potatoes and allow to boil for 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes are up, leave the potatoes in the water and add the onions and allow to boil for 7 minutes more. After this 7 minutes, add the fish, leaving the potatoes and onions in the water, and allow to boil for 9 minutes more.
Serve with lots of melted butter, and sprinkle with dill weed.
This was delicious and a big hit with both the fish eaters, and especially the non fish eaters in our group. Next time I'm going to add come carrots with the potatoes. A little color will be good.
Enjoy;

Mark-1,
Was this a fish soup? If not, what did you do with the cooking water when done? Just curious.

Salmonsmoker;
This was not a soup. I should have made it clear that after the prescribed cooking time, you then remove the fish, potatoes, and onions from the salt water. I scouped them out with a slotted spoon after removing the basket containing the fish/vegetables from the salt water. When I say basket, I am referring to the basket which came with my cooker, which is placed inside the pot containing the salt water. I then spooned melted butter on the potatoes and fish. I discarded the salt water after cooking.

Shoeman did something simialr to this at the St. Joe Outing and used "Artichokes" (Spelling).
It was great! You take the leaves and scoop up the small pieces of Salmon, dip it in the butter, then eat the editable part of the leave!...Mabey Shoeman can get us that recipe too?

Mark, try adding ears of corn that you have broken in half as well, it goes good with the rest and adds nice color as you described.
