Have you guys ever tried roving practice or stump shooting with judos ? I have done this for years and it's great for judging yardage a picking out openings in the brush , etc.
I'll take old tennis balls with holes in them so the arrows don't skip off and throw them as far as I can .Several of us will take turns picking the shot for the rest of the guys to follow . We allways try to choose tough challenging shots and mark the shooting position location on the ground for the next archer to stand . We have fun with it .
It's a change of pace from shooting groups at spots or 3D targets , and much more fun . Only the first shot counts , just like deer hunting in most cases .

One more thing , shoot in a safe direction ,and make sure you have judo points or else they will bury into the ground .

My son and I like to put cans in the yard around the house to shoot. 1 point for a hit, and see who can get the most points in the end.
