Opinion: Help children reconnect with nature
Previous generations of kids played in woods, along rivers, and in wetlands. They were building tree houses, catching fish, hunting frogs, and playing hide-and-seek. All of this "nature-play" builds a sense of wonder and exploration, and enriches growth and development.
But during the past 30 years, more and more, children have been losing their connection to nature.
