Well tipoff isn't far off and no thread yet so I thought I'd start one.
What do you think is going to happen tonight?
I hate to say it but I have a feeling we're coming back to the Palace for a game seven. I hope I'm proven wrong though.

Hope I don't jinx it, but it looks like we're in pretty good shape. Up by 12 with 2:20 to play.
Back to the Wings who just got a goal to cut the deficit to one. ;)

Way to go Pistons!!!
PISTONS - 95
BULLS - 85
Back to playing stones b-ball. Real tough on D. Worked hard on O to get better shots. Didnt jack up 25 3's. Key was the D pressure keeping the bulls to a lower shooting percentage. This series NEVER should have gone to 6 games.....But on the good side whenever they come out of a couple tough games with a couple of losses it seems to set their heads straight.
They play tougher, harder with more focus.
So now they'll have at least one extra days rest then the next opponite and my get 6 days depending if NJ and Cleve. go es 7 games.
So finaly things are as they should be and all is well in the D.

Defensively they played well, clogged up the passing lanes all night.
They moved the ball well, Rip finally made some shots, but man
Rasheed needs to SHUT HIS MOUTH!!!! and just play basketball, He will be the unraveling of this team....To many stupid technicals..

That's a relief eh?
Give them credit; 5 years in a row the Pistons are in the Eastern Conference final! If they advance it will be 3 out of 5 years in the NBA finals!
GOOD JOB JOE D!

Check out the Chicago Tribune's Sports page to see how funny their sports writers are regarding Ben Wallace.
Said one writer: When are we going to start seeing $60,000,000 worth of rebounding?
Another writer: Which is worst? $300 million for the Cubs or $60,000,000 for no rebounds and missed free throws?
I was gonna keep these thoughts to myself until the season is over, but the topic has come up and so i'll add my .02 cents worth.
C. Webb will only be a stop gap player for Detroit and I'd be really suprised if he's here next year. He just dosent fit in a long term plan for the stones.
To old, skills to dimished and by having him on the roster it takes up a spot
to develope a younger kid. Amir Johnson?.
I hope we win the NBA finals, he gets his ring and next year is somewhere else. Nothing personal. He just dosent add enough to the team that a young, energy player could add.
'Sheed. Mixed emotions here. He came here and delivered a championship.
At the same time i HATE every time he cry's to the refs about his bad calls.
Every penalty is a bad call to him and he cry's to the refs about it.
I FREAKING HATE THAT!!!!
Also, he takes far to many games off. During the regular season there are games that you hardly know if he's even in the game at all. They say he's a "big game" performer but he's paid for 82 regular season games and the playoffs!!!! I also hear(read) that he's good in the clubhouse, thats a plus
but all in all i would not be upset to see him replaced with a quality young player to. He might have trade value to some teams but his contract is really high. I dont see another team picking him up and paying him his contract for what he has to offer as a player.
Between the two of them, sheed and Webb these are a couple old dudes by NBA standards and their best years are behind them.
Keep RIP, Chauncey, Tay and rebuild the middle with draft picks (we have two 1st round picks this year) or trades. The way i see it, Webb must go
and i wouldnt mind if sheed went to. bring in some young, fresh talent and
develope them or else we will be stuck with "old" age in the middle.
Keep 'Dice as the 6th man off the bench!!!

One thing that most people don't notice about Rasheed - he's a spectacular defender. Even in most games where his scoring/rebounding numbers aren't good he still plays great D.

I'd agree!!! But ive also seen him take days off from his D as well. Sheed
has all the talant to be a huge proublem for any team when his head is on straight. That game 6 vs the Bulls shows what he can do when he's into a game. He turned into a monster. Scoring, rebounding, blocking shots!!!
It was a fantastic thing to see him in a groove. But all in all it would not
bother me to see him traded. As much as i liked Ben Wallace it didnt bother me that he left. I would have prefered to see Ben stay in Detroit but not at the tune of $60Mill. at a time when most players like him start to see their skills/body start to give out.
Really i hope that C. Webb will be gone after this year. We need a young buck in the middle to develope. If we keep Webb i hope his role is on the bench, BEHIND 'Dice. But if 'sheed has to go, so be it, as long as we get some value out of him. If we keep him, ok, he can help teach a new young buck.
