Let's hope the Wings can keep up with the work along the boards, they did a pretty good job the other night and Hasek for the most part was on his game - except for the 2 lame Goals the Ducks got - especially the one that was caught in his pad. Game starts at 9:00 this time on Versus. Let's Go Red Wings!

Holy Cow! Yet another Detroit power play. I'd have to say that the Ducks are coming a bit unglued. How about you? :) I've lost track, how many Ducks penalties is that in a row?

Sure makes that loss on Sun a little tougher, could have gone up a quick 3-0 on the quackers.

Hasek has been very sharp tonight...unlike the Versus play-by-play crew...

It's Ko-peck-ee, not Ko-pesky, And Homer's first name is Tow-maas, not Tom-as...Nuttin like hearing the home crew call a game.:D

I noticed them, and a bunch of other people dressed in orange. The only thing i can come up with is that its a bunch of Wings fans dressed up as DUCK HUNTERS:16suspect

Outstanding game by the Wings tonight, Hasek was superb - besides the cheap shots by niedermayerr & Pronger who should've got a 5 min penalty to - Homer is on top of his game and the Ducks know it. Way to go Wings!

I feel there should be some sort of suspension for that hit on Homer. The way they both blasted him into the glass at the same time it almost looked like it was premeditated.

I agree with ya Steve, but Pronger needs to take a hit on that one too.

It did kind of look remeniscent of that hit the Hanson's did in Slapshot that left the guy crumpled in the corner.

Call me a old school hockey guy, but the next shift Pronger was out, I would have had someone make a run on him. Not to purposley hurt, but to make it obvous that they were only there to lay a hard hit on him....maybe get a slash or something in there...... Just to let him /they're coach know that we aren't going to let that stuf go on.

Homer keep amazing me, 2 goals, an assist and 13 stitches and came back in to play. That is a great example of something to throw at those who say hockey is not the toughest sport/trophy to win.

Homer, no doubt. Lidsstrom/Hasek not far behind.

My oh my what a break down by the D*ck's....Not a good place to break down like that...at home. Great way to take one on the road. I think the ducks will be quacking away this summer on the golf course!!! Homer is such a stud, I really think he's working towards the Consmyth (spelling) trophy. Enough can't be said about Dom.....Hell I hope he wants to return next year!!!!

That game made up for an extremely crappy opening day of walleye season! What a game! I will be surprised if Pronger doesn't at least get fined for that hit.

And yes, someone should have munched him into the boards to let him know that they are not gonna take that crap!

Go Wings!

I agree,,,, if you watched Bertuzzi the rest of the game,,, he tried to get close to Pronger a couple of times, he just didn't get the opportunity to "tee him up". I don't think Pronger or Neidermayer should be or will be suspended,, although "nothing" surprises me in this pansy ass league anymore.

As for the game itself,,,,,Anaheim came out flat and not checking at all and really got caught flat footed on the first 2 goals. It was over after that. Be ready to do some kickin' and screamin' over some ticky-tack penalties in game 4 though,,, maybe even a 5 on 3 or two. Brian Burke is a master of manipulating the league and officials and believe me,, he'll be all over the league about a few of those calls last night. I have this funny feeling that Anaheim is deflated though,,, I can't quite put my finger on it yet,,, it looked like they got some pretty decent scoring chances and just couldn't get it past Hasek. I still don't know how he does it.

I hope they are so deflated that they start to molt, but I doubt it. I think it more likely that they will become even more undisciplined if they don't get out to an early lead in the next game which, given how Dom is playing, seems a pretty good possibility.
