For the money and from the feedback I have heard the islander is a very nice reel. I like my Raven, and although I have a few buddies with a sheffield I wasn't a huge fan.

I own an Islander and a sheffield and have used all the ravens at one point. I like the Islander personally...

Islander- been pounding on it for ten years. Its a good reel, But I like 5" better.

islanders are nice, and If those are your options go with it! Although If you have smaller hands (like me), the mykiss would be worth saving a little more $ for!

I have a Raven Vectra SST3 Titanium and love it. I would however like to get my hands on a Mykiss, they look reel nice. Or one of those Anglers Specialty (?) made in Ontario CA.
