I remember seeing a shock absorbing system for boat seats (mono shock absorber pedestal), I just can't remember where I saw it. Can anybody point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

Try this thread. I think Slick posted this several months back and it had some pretty good ideas for making your own system and not spending so much for a name brand system. See if it works for you. Rick

OOOOOOUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHH!!! :yikes:  :yikes:

That tractor seat setup is looking like the a "Emperiors Chair" now.

I'm still in the process of customizing my new/used boat, a 1997 19'
Starcraft Fishmaster. Just getting ideas on the seat arrangement, but for now I need to work out the kinks before we go to Burt the last week in May.

I'm thinking (once I get tinkering) that I can use a single shock inside two pipes fitting together to slide (one inside the other - less complicated). 99% of the time I just find a good speed to make it comfortable and take my time, but sometimes you can find that speed to skim across.

Thanks for the link - kind of set me straight on that!
