Does anyone chug in the river? If so are you doing any good?

I'll chug in the same areas I'm fishing now. But I won't switch over from jigs for another couple weeks yet. I'll keep jigging for as long as they hit them.

Chuggin' seems to be my plan B when not jigging or trolling. I seem to always catch at least one fish while chugging. My friend that introduced me to the river owns a chugging stick and a whipping rod. For him, that is all he ever needed to catch fish. I even got a hold of a king salmon last year while chuggin'.

I chugged a few passes (MC) last week with no luck, so I switched to jigging and caught 5 fish. I'll try it again this weekend.

I was just curious caught my first walleye chugging when I was about 12 years old in Detroit river 67 now. I have a few sinkers set up thought I might try it. Never have done any jigging or whipping to old to learn now. After seeing all the pictures of everybody with there fish it is making me hungry thought I might like to try to catch a few. Hank
