Way to snag the game saving catch Maggs! Looks like the guy can field after all. He is also hitting the crap out of the ball lately.

ok ok, he is hitting good. But the slidding catch was luck. Look at his face when he made that catch. He was just as shocked!!!

That was one heck of a catch.

I've been a huge critic of his efforts in the field, so I do want to say he did a fine job last night. I just wish we'd see that from him all the time. He still plays too many balls on the bounce that most guys would dive for, and he seldom chases balls down with the same speed or gusto he runs the bases in.

There's a reason he had a fractured relationship in with Ozzy, and a lot of it had to do with Mags not giving total effort.

I am in agreement with Beave here!!!

I thought that catch was awesome! He does sometimes make it look like he could make a better effort for some fly balls which always ticks me off, but it was nice to see his catch last night

I thought it was an impressive catch and a great way to put the game away.

Not to trying to take anything away from Magg's catch, but I was even more impressed with Monroe's.

I missed Monroe's catch. I heard them talking about it right before Mags catch

He did cut about 3 or 4 inches off of it.

If he's batting .342, leading the league in doubles, on base .424, slugging .632 with 28 RBI on May 9, then if he's only a fair right fielder, that's fine by me. :)

Mags is certainly one of the elite right fielders in MLB. I think he takes a worse rap for his fielding abilities than his numbers would indicate. He makes some fantastic plays out there regularly, even if he does boot one once in a while. Add his bat to his fielding abilities and I can't think of a right fielder playing now who adds more to their team than Mags does to the Tigers.

Game, set, match Pinefarm! Oh, and add another homer and a couple RBI and runs to the totals.
