Frankfort/Betsie bay

Since Betsie Bay is a part of the Betsie River, I'll post this here. Fished yesterday in the bay, landed to kings 22.5# and 23.5# on anti freeze and halloween down 24'. There are lots of kings showing up in the harbor and around the pier heads, they should be running the rivers very soon. I'm sure they already are, but the numbers should really increase in the very near future.

Toto, I for one am pumped!!!! Probably wont be making it to the betsie though. I have a very full schedule planned for this fall. It all starts this weekend on the PM. After that I have almost every weekend booked, right through the first week of oct. when I will be taking a week off to do nothin but hunt and fish!!!!!! Oh yah!
Hey we'll be at the big man for labor day weekend, get in touch and maybe we can set something up!

Another report from the beautiful North West Michigan area. Fish off the mouth of the Little Manistee, and then moved up to Frankfort in the bay. Went 6 for 6 overall. Using a very unused technique, "Jigging". Man what a hoot. We were using a bait called a "Buzz Bomb", can't seem to find these anywhere but in a Cabelas catalog. Hooked 3 in the in the harbor of Frankfort when no one else was hooking anything by trolling. Fish ran anywhere from about 15# to near 20. You really need to try this technique, this is the most fun I've had in a while. You word of caution, if you do hook one, hang on tight, these fish aren't real interested in coming up. Phish, let me know your schedule, we need to hook up sooner or later. by the way if anyone e-mails me, please leave your return address, as my computor doesn't always pick it up.
