Headed out again last night north of Marysville. We got it handed to us this time. I hooked 4 and landed 2 in 21 FOW, between 8-12pm. I caught all fish on a clown pencil plug. The wind was really making the current increase and I had to add 1.5 oz. of lead more than normal. My NEW anchor I bought didn't work for sh$# against that northeast wind. After popping twice I finally set 2 anchors and cured the problem. Apparently I need a heavier anchor or chain above it. I would love to hear from anyone who was out last night after midnight. After I was coming in around midnight that moon was coming up. I was thinking that might turn them on for a late bite and we almost turned around when we saw it. If you were out there last night after midnight please let me know how you did late.

if its a danforth they dont work without a chian add a chain and it will work

Yea, I have about a 3 foot lead of chain, but it is not very heavy duty. I think I will try doubling the length to 6 feet and increasing the weight of chain I use before buying a heavier anchor. Thanks for the tip.

Fished till 12:15pm saturday night at Marine City. Only boated 3 nothing after 10:15pm.
