I heard someone at works say he dislocated his finger but can't confirm that.
I just hope he wasn't playing guitar on video games again.

I heard dislocated finger, too. Hope its not too bad, but it seems like that would be a tough one to recover from (especially since its on the right hand!).
Ruptured Tendon = 3 Months. Per WILX news tonight.

I think that's going to be tough to come back from anytime this year. Imagine throwing as hard as he does and worrying about it popping again.

It would be ok if Rodney or Mesa were pitching ok. Perhaps somebody like Ledezma can move to setup as well and Miller can come up for long relief. Problem is Miller isn't exactly tearing it up at Lakeland either.

Whatever end up happening if they are still able to pull out another year like the last this will be one of those things that makes the season even better. To know that they made it through with two big pitchers out and great team effort filling the holes.

Do I hear a "Chris Shelton for a big name middle reliever" trade????

No need to panick just yet. Rodney has pitched well his last few appearances, including a 2.1 inning save. Rodney will move into zoom's spot and Mesa will probably be used where Rodney would normally pitch. Mesa is a proven vet, some may think he is done, but alot of people didn't think Kenny could do what he did. I am not saying that Mesa is a lock to fill in the position nor am I comparing his pitching skills to Kenny, but this is why the tig's signed him, to fill in if someone went down. Now if it turns out, Mesa blows and Rodney starts to pitch like he was at the beginning of the season, then bring on the trades! Does Brad Lidge still want out of Houston????

I think Mesa has got some life to him. Being healty has a lot to do with how well he pitches. Let's give him another chance at it.
As for Lidge......Oy! You thought Jonesy gave you the heebie jeebies, this guy will flat out ruin your nite!

Now would be the time..last i heard he was swinging the stick pretty well, and Thames is getting better every day at first base. I think they might try to ride it out..but if the late relief isnt getting the job done, dombrowski might have to make a move.....but whos out there?
