I think this game is won by 3 goals this series is due for a break out and I think the wings will previal 5-2. the start time blows I'd much rather be watching them Saturday night around 8ish. I hope Wilson pissed off his players with calling them out the other night and they throw him under the bus!!! 10 more wins let's take it 9 after Saturday afternoon!!!!

Nothing, he's fine. He broke the skate blade at the base of the boot in the overtime. It took awhile for Paul to get him into some new ones, but he was back in action. I believe, he was either on the bench about to take a shift on that powerplay, or he may have just hopped onto the ice for Schneider's OT PP goal.

That right there is the problem,,, it's a "national" broadcast and don't think for a second that they'll stay with hockey instead of the Derby. And no,,, Guerin being out isn't a big deal, although he's thrown some heavy checks in every game. If Wilson was smart this would give him every opportunity to get Thorton on the ice more.

Not it wasn't a dirty hit, they just came together. Man we really can't afford to be down 2 defensemen. Quincy has looked pretty decent so far but what a load to carry on his young shoulders.

BigDaddy called it when he said it would be a three goal win. Good job.

Mike Emerick,,, thanks Jpollman. GAWWWD that guy is ANNOYING!!! It was a big win. SJ has gotta be kickin' themselves with the leads they've thrown away. I have a funny feeling that "experience" will play a big role the rest of the way. SJ has virtually none. I don't know that Wilson can keep them calm enough for this game 6. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the same score 4-1 Wings for the next game. One of the big keys was getting to Nabakov,,,,, he gets PISSED when he starts letting in goals and unlike a Hasek or Roy,, he gets worse when he lets in a bad one. This series is basically over,,, the Wings better tape up their wrists and ankles real good for the next series though,,,,, ol' number 25 knows how to lay the lumber on ya. :lol:

I would have to say that was the most complete game I have seen the Red Wings play this series. Maybe even the post season. Datsyuk is a freaking stud.

It was really good to see Sammy get a goal too. He can be STREAKY hot. And I mean streaky. Lets hope this is the beginning of a 8 or 9 game goal streak!:lol: Well.... I suppose a decent point streak would be acceptable. I am very bummed about losing Schneids! That hurts, big time. Hopefully Sammy will step up and help fill the void on the power play. Yeah, Sammie was manning the point for that PP goal. With Schneider gone, it's a safe bet to say that Sammie will man the point opposite St. Nick for the rest of the way. Markov and Chelly will hold down the 2nd unit.

Well, Brett is practicing, he's not a 100%, but his health timetable just got accelerated!:dizzy::lol: 90% might have to be close enough. Ericcson and Meech made the flight to SJ, and as of now, Meech is gearing up to play Monday night. Brett may be a gametime decision. The real loser in this whole deal.....Lilja.:( Lilja was playing excellant paired with Schneider. Whatever they had clicking together, I don't know, but it was working. Now what? You have to leave Chelly and Quincey alone. Do you leave Danny and Nick alone? Who gets paired with Lilja? Meech?:tdo12: IMO, Lilja needs to be paired with a veteran to continue to play as well as he has been. So who? Either Danny or Nick right. No matter what, 2 of our key veterans are now gonna be tied up babysitting a playoff virgin. Chelly/Quincey, and then either Markov/Meech or Lidstrom/Meech. Man, what a bummer. Schneider was playing so well too. IMO, he was playing his best postseason hockey ever in the Winged Wheel. His play was reminding of the stuff Duke pulled out of his rear in 02. Oh well, what's done is done. Whoever is back there, is gonna have to step up. All 18 skaters need to find their A+++ game!:)

Schneider will be missed on the powerplay definitely. I wouldn't be too terribly worried though,, look for Markov's ice time to jump. I like Markov,,,, he's kinda "nasty" with his stick and body too.:evilsmile

I love watching other teams try to run at Markov and get him riled up. He doesn't take it for long and he is ready to mix it up.

I think they are going to have to split up that top line. I mean having your second line as Lebda or Meech and Lilja would be kind of silly. Maybe Lidstrom with Lilja, and Markhov with Lebda or Meech. That is what I predict.

Oh yeah 2 - 0 Wings. Time for Hasek to absolutely stand on his head. Don't get me wrong, he has been playing great. But I predict a head stander for tonight. He is really peeved off about that fluffy goal in game 5.
