Made My Day

Got up this Am and avoided radio and TV. Worked in the yard until 1130 or so and decided to take a break and watch the recorded version of last nights wings/sharks game. Needless to say IT MADE MY DAY. :D It was not looking good for awhile but the wings hung in there and Schneider was due for one down the middle after KISSING both posts last game, SWEET. Home ice is back and we hold them off in game 5 the pressure is on the sharks. ps THAT IS THE WAY TO WATCH THOSE LATE NIGHT GAMES PLUS YOU DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO TOO MUCH OF THE INANE DRIVEL FROM THE VERSUS BOYS

Yep, it made my night! Only one thing could have made it much better.:lol: But I was pretty tired.:lol:

I too am getting sick of listening to those no loads on Vs. I swear they try to be boring.

Agreed. Those guys stank. Give me some Mickey. Mick's never afraid to speak his mind and tell it how it is. The only guy that I can stand on VS is Dave Strader. I think that's because of my bias though. I loved Mickey and Strader together when I was a kid. Those were the best Red Wing telecasts!:) Come on back and take your old job back from Daniels, please Dave.:lol:

I have to give some credit to VS, though. They are A LOT better than they were last year. Still annoying, but last year looked like a public cable television show. just brutal.

Mickey is great, but he is such a 'homer' / slappy. :lol:

I remember that too, and they were the best telecasts indeed!. When I'm channel surfing and hear Dave Strader I momentarily think there's a wings game on. :)

You're right about Mikey and how he speaks his mind. Rarely is there something that happens on the ice that he makes a comment about, not being true. On top of that you have to throw the "Mikey-ism's" in there as well." :lol:

I liked Bob Cole and Harry Neil on HNIC too. Both of those telecast combos just sound like hockey! Something else just occured to me too....it would be great to have the music to HNIC as a ring tone...gotta see if I can find that.
