I was out there this morning from 7-12. Caught 1 - 13.5" eye and that was it. There were about 7 boats out this morning and I only say 1 other fish caught. Now there could have been more becuase obviously I can't keep my eyes on all the boats, but it wasn't that great this morning in my opinion.

God help me for telling you all this but I have to enlighten the Holloway crowd. 1/4 oz. Hot n Tots 100ft back in the river channel will do it for you guys. I picked up 7 fish 15 1/2in. to 23 in. in 4 hours. I never change technique this time of year. I told Nate S. this a couple of years ago, he said he never fished Holloway before and he ended up winning the Chapmans tournament fishing this way. Your baits have to be banging the bottom hard to catch good size fish out there, you will lose some cranks but thats fishing. Hey Storm Lures if you are reading this, how bout a kick back??? Ha Ha!

Have Fun,

Chris

Perch buddy just want to clear somethings up. Downtown flint walleyes don't make it to the lake. The walleyes in holloway were planted years ago up the south branch of the flint river whichruns up thruogh lapeer mi.
The fish we been catching up around columbiaville from the mouth. There are rubber dams in flint those fish can't goe past. Mott lk walleyes are the eyes they catch below holloway dam it is also loaded with some fish that havn't went back out to mott lk. We been catching them all over many smaller fish. Another week holloway res should be smokin with fish, if you don't fish the river channel try about 60 yds from the shorelines cause they'll be feeding close. I personally am still eating last years fish we caught a few hundred the month of may and june. shad raps work fine. I use small crappie type jigs and tails works everytime. FISH-ON!!!

I fished the shore below the dam last night and saw a few fish jumping. I figure they were smallies or carp or something.. I couldn't get any bite.. the river seemed a little low. Plus it was kinda chilly.. forgot to bring the warm clothes.

if the water didnt look like a big turd I would go shoot them (bowfishing). Maybe thats whats making the water that color?
