Looking for input on some lakes around T/C. I'm planning a weekend trip up there in the next few weeks around Arbutus/Spider lake area. I'm looking for gills...can anyone tell me when it's typically prime for gills to spawn up there? I know it will depend on weather, but on an average year what month will give us the best chance of getting these gills?

Thanks

Lemme dig out my map of arbutus lakes. Long Lake west of TC is good, Duck and Green lakes sout by interlochen are good too. I'm up in the Elk Rapids area and fish within a 60 mile radius all the time.

Give me a few days and I'll get ya some local reports from friends put together and email you some maps.

Thanks for the suggestions.......we're actually camping at one of the smaller lakes for our annual trip. Maybe we'll hit one of the bigger lakes on our way out.
