I have a 1979 Pontoon boat and it might be a little lower in the water then I think it should be. I notice there are a couple plastic plugs in the top of the pontoons. I'm guessing that maybe you can presurize one hole and that might force water out so I can be sure they are empty....anyone actually know if this is correct...thanks...just didn't want to borrow a trailer again to pull it out of the lake

Never saw what your talking about but the dry weight should be on the boat or title, they go weigh the rig or just put it on the trailor and see if you have a wet spot anywhere. It's a start.

Be VERY carefull applying any air pressue inside the pontoon. The pontoons are engineered to handle pressure from the outside in, not the other way around. It doesnt take much PSI to blow them out from the inside...

very likly the top rigs holding the deck on are crack. to test this pull out the plug on top and add a little bit of compress air and than have someone spray all the welds and joints with soap/water if any bubbles you have a leak, if thats the case you will need to get the noze way up and drill a small hole at the bottomrear of the pontoon this will drain all the water, than you will need to get the hole and all cracks rewelded. this is a very common problem with any pontoon boat

just syphon the water out. put the boat on an incline so all the water is by the end with the plugs then syphon or pump out the water. My grandpa had to do this every year with his when he put it up for the winter.
