Not including you I have three other friends who have e-tec's (40, 90 and 150). They have been pretty happy.

hey robby! i had one ..never a problem far superior in starting, hole shots etc..i have 3 friends that also run e-tecs..only one had any problems to speak of...........excessive slow trolling(90 hp)1 mphfor hours ata time ,day after day..cause the etec to sputterand become jerky...lockemans told them to blow out the engine(open her up and run 5 minutes or so every 4 hours)...problem solved,,,,wish i had paid the extra 4000 to have the new boats'opti replaced with an e-tec...hell the savings on opti oil(bout 5 a quart-bulk) would make up the difference as much as i fish!...lol//////////,,,,,,,p.s. still have you in mind may get upstairs and dig thru more tackle find some more flat warts 4 ya!

just in the trolling excessive hours, eats plugs like candy and at $ 7.50 per plug gets reel anowing

I have an 05 200hp E-tec. I troll for walleye with no loading issues. I'm running the xd100 oil.

Who is your dealer? I would highly reccomend you talk to Dave Zammitt down at Lockeman's in Delray. (Jefferson ave. near Zug Island)

Hi rob i finally got my new 50 hp e-tech out. I took it out just to run it. It did not go out of the shoot right away it felt like it was gonna stall and it surged some going between 2mph to 5 mph. The tachdometer I got for it is not working right either. I am gonna take it back to my dealer it is a 2007. It did top out at just over 30mph. I would think your plugs would be under warranty I know my e-tech is a 7 year warranty.
