Without making some out of PVC, who sells those moveable tubes with the square base that you put your arrows in while shooting at the range? I can't find any online.

this is what I have. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0026250416660a&navCount=3&podId=0026250&parentId=cat20086&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat21424-cat20086&catalogCode=QW&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20086&hasJS=true
But the base is filled with sand and it probably weights 15pounds. Not sure I would want to carry it around a 3d range but it works well in my basement range and in the back yard.
Hope this helps,
J-

No, I mean just the plain PVC like round cylinder tube about 18' high with a about an 8" square base on it. Both Al & Bob's and Traditional Outoor Supply have them on for their indoor range, but neither recall where they bought them.

sounds like something that you could easily make for pretty cheap. Length of 3.25 or 4in pvc pipe, pvc toilet flange on one end and then screw a piece of plywood to the flange. Spray paint it black if you want and you would be set.
The range I shoot at for indoor has the above set up minus the plywood and it works great. They are stabil enough for the flat indoor concrete floor with just the flange, but they would be "tippy" outdoor on uneven ground.Plywood would help for the outdoors.
Hope this helps, if I find any commercially made ones like you are talking about I'll let you know.

Opps just re-read your first post and saw you didnt want to make them out of PVC, sorry about that. I'll let you know if I find any pre made ones

That's cool. I can make, but if I could find some for $10 assembled, it'd be just as easy to order them.

made mine with pvc and a spike sticking down from bottom. better then flat base outdoors as they are light and simply stick in the ground...ok not so good when grounds frozen...

For cheap, just take some PVC and duct tape (or hose clamp) some steel re-rod to them....just long enough to stick in the ground. I made a bunch for pier rod holders, with a bigger diameter, they would work great for arrows on the range.

The Archery Stand-By is specifically designed to be a secure and convenient place to set your bow while retrieving arrows.http://www.bowstands.com/images/Stand-By02.jpg http://www.bowstands.com/images/Stand-By04.jpg
http://www.bowstands.com/images/Stand-By10.jpg With it’s patented design and sand filled base, it will not tip over indoors or out.

if your talking about the tubes that are like the ones in a hip quiver. You can get them at walmart, meijers, or cabelas/ gandermountain. all they are is golf club tubes for golf bags. You can buy them seperately. alot of people buy 3-4 of them and mount them to the side of there folding chair to hold there arrows..

Go to Home Depot and buy the pre-cut 3.5" pvc pipe and a toilet flange for under $10. They press fit so you don't even have to glue them. Just made one last week and it works great...add the plywood for more weight if you need it.
