Why oh why does Craige Monroe admire EVERY ball he hits for a hit. As a recent example, couple of games ago he admired what he thought was a homer, wrong, he damn near got his butt thrown out at second after he finally decided to run. Doesn't JL see this? I personally like Granderson's style, run like hell all the time, if it's gone, THEN do the home run trot. Also on the Monroe issue. How many times could he of advanced another base ( outfield miscue) but didn't because he was admiring his hit and was slow getting out of the box?

I like Granderson's style as well. Even if it's a for sure out... he's running as hard as he can. He gives 100% everytime.

I agree he should get going a little quicker, but I just knock it off to his swinging style and as the ways he's always batted. Plus his speed is okay, now if he were as fast, er...I mean as slow as Casey then there'd be a big problem. I love watching Casey run, it's absolutely hilarious! You know he's tryin so hard to go as fast as he can but it's like he's dragging deer as he 'runs'. I've been to a couple games this year and every time he get a hit and runs everyone in the stands just laugh.

Casey makes me laugh everytime I see him "lumbering" towards 1st base... LOL! Not a knock against him, I like Casey, I just find the way he runs comical. Like last week when he stumbled and about fell down trying to get that guy out at first. He just sat there and laughed at himself.

Any truth that Casey would have to hit a homerun to get a triple? Just a little joke. When I played ball and was his age my feet moved like hell but I got nowhere. Keep on truckin Sean.

I have to agree, I have always had a bit of a problem with a guy standing there watching his ball go. Manny Ramirez and Barry Bonds are about the worlds worst. Does anyone remember Mark McGwire hitting the ball and running EVERY time. There is a time for it, the other night when sheffield was getting thrown at and them hit one that still hasn't, he had the right to let carbrera know he DIDNT get to him.
On the casey note:) . Around my house we dont call him "wheels" we call him "square wheel". Seems so fitting.

As long as he keeps hitting the ball that is fine with me!! I get double the enjoyment of watching the game
