Went out looking for perch last Saturday. We only went 1 for 1 and that was at the sand docks. Looked like there was a lot of action but they were a bit on the small side. Right when things looked real good the coastguard came through to make room for the Lake Express and make everyone leave their holes.

Be prepared out there - we were boarded for a safety inspection. The guy before us must not of passed because he was tied up for at least a half hour. :(

I hit Muskegon Lake Saturday evening after a hot tip from a good friend. We slow trolled clown rouges in 12 fow and got 7 eyes and a pike from 10-2am. Lots and lots of guys fishing out in Lake Michigan and around the pierheads, but had the lake pretty much to ourselves, other than boats buzzing around all night. All eater males 17-22" ready to blow.:lol:
