Patriots got Randy Moss !!!!! Patriots will win the Super Bowl..........

As you assume a couple of things:

1.) Randy Moss will be the same player that he was. While the potential is there, the evidence (not playing well recently) points to him being maybe a slightly above average receiver, assuming he feels like it.

2.) The patriots play in the AFC. Do you really think the Colts, Chargers, Broncos, Ravens, Bengals, Steelers, and possibly the Jets will just sit and let the patriots win?

While they're a powerhouse, there's no evidence that they'll win, if anything because the competition is so intense.

What has he been the last couple years in Oakland? Definately not a receiver that defenses fear.

5:4 - Moss has a "breakout year" with Belichick/Brady...

7:1 - Patriots win the super bowl

Even - Moss breaks out a bong in the locker room and hugs Goodell as he accepts the MVP award.

(this is entirely fiction, but I bet it's true!)

what has ANYONE done the last couple years in OAKLAND?, i don't think they, as a team, were feared by anyone, he didn't have anyone to throw him the ball, should have have acted the way he did? NO, but oakland was just flat out HORRIBLE...him, and Brady will be a good combo, if not, all it cost the patriots was a 4th round pick. he will learn quick that if he doesn't work, he won't get the ball. his ego will mean nothing on this team, and if he wants to sit there and pout about it, thats exactly what belichick will have him do, SIT...he can still play the game in the right environment. and i think he will do pretty good in N.E.

This is my favorite part:The Patriots' roster was so stacked that they spent most of the draft here deferring picks until next year – trading both a first- and third-rounder for similar picks in 2008.

Were so good we don't even want anyone this year!!

That may be, but football is the only sport that matters. The rest are just...well...just "there." :)

They also signed Donte Stallworth,Wes Welker,Kelly Washington, and the best defensive free agent available, Adalieus Thomas. Throw Moss into a offense that runs like the Patriots does...and believe me..defenses will FEAR him once again. Ship the ring to the patriots:evil:

Name one AFC team as of right now that is better on paper than the Patriots. The Colts are finished, they will be in the playoffs, but no super bowl for them. The Chargers might sneak back into the playoffs if they stay healthy. The ravens, no. The chiefs, no. Broncos, no. The only team that will step up to the pats, but will lose, are the Bengals.

Just forget about the NFC. But do take note, the lions will win over 8 games this year and make the playoffs. Yep, thats what I said. :D

Don't get me wrong here, I love football, but are you from Michigan? You know, the home of Hockeytown!

Moss might be a good receiver someday, after he get's over himself and realizes that it's a team game and not all about him.

Born and raised in Michigan...have no interest in Hockey, what so ever. Only hockey fans acknowledge the existence of this Hockeytown you speak of. The rest of us just call it Detroit. ;)

Moss is an over-paid crybaby--and since I hate the Patriots, I hope he pulls his typical shenanigans there!

Terry Bruschi might be able to contribute toward another great season for the Pats.

Hockeytown was a name given when all the fair weather fans showed up in the late 90's. The last couple of years this city has exploded sports wise. I am willing to bet there are more football fans in Detroit and Michigan as a whole then hockey. I love hockey but not as much as football.

with a baby on the way with one of the hottest women on the planet and living with an even hotter woman, moss or no moss, I think the Patriot's biggest challenge this season might be keeping tommy boy focused on football.

I pretty much agree. It's possible the Colts might regroup and make a show of it in the AFC championship game, but I can't see anyone else giving the Pats a run for their money this season.

Funniest comment in this thread was that Moss sucks. He might be an a-hole, but he's certainly earning his pay this year....

honorable mention in the funny category:

They don't have much of a choice now do they...

Holy crapoli!!! The Pats are favored by 17.5 over the iggles this Sunday. No surprise there since its against an NFC team. I am sure McNabb will say race was the cause for that Patriot truck running them over.

GO MOSS!!!!!!!!

Breaking News -- Patriots are mortal. :yikes:

Wow, who would have thought they could almost be taken down by an NFC team with a backup QB. I really thought Philly might pull it off there for a while...

Well, I think they should win it, but I'll tell ya, I won't be shocked if the Giants pull off one of the greatest upsets ever.

A few weeks ago the Giants managed to hang with the Pats for a while in a game that meant absolutely nothing to them perhaps other than to their pride. The pats of course eventually made the necessary adjustments and then distanced themselves.

If the Giants are firing on all cylinders and perhaps throw a few new tricks into the mix, who knows what can happen...

I think the Giants are playing well enough to pull it off. Unfortunatley for the Giants in a way, is that they played the Pats tough a few weeks ago. Belichick will likely not let that happen again, and he will have a great game plan. I"ll give Eli his props, he's playing very good football but it's a big stage, a stage where brady is right at home so?? I don't like either team so I don't have a dog in the fight but part of me wants to see the Pats lose. I like to see the underdog win once in a while. Really, I just hope it's an entertaining game that hasn't been decided 2 minutes into the third quarter.

I think the giants might pull one off. They are one of the hottest teams in the nfl the second half of season. They played the Pats tough the last game and they only lost one game on the road. Doesn't matter to me who wins as long as its a good game.

Patroits will not only win, but they will cover the spread....they have been there and done that, Giants have no expereince in a situation like this and the Pats are a much better team...

This ofcourse pending Brady's situation...but I am sure that he will be ready to rock, and Maroney will rush for over 100 yards as the Giants drop 7 into coverage...Pats will manage the clock, wear out the Giants D and roll it up in the 2nd half....

Prediction: Colts 72, Jets 0

Anyone remember that one, when an undefeated team went to the Super Bowl against a big underdog who had a very good quarterback who was on a roll?

Sure, the Pats could very well slaughter the Giants. But the Giants have been playing very well lately, and strange things can happen when hardly anyone is giving one of the teams a chance...
