Both caught between 4-5pm
Fished very steep (5-65 vertical feet in less than 50 horizontal feet) drop-offs using tube jigs.
It was my first time fishing Cass Lake (I just moved here) and I was really impressed. Water was crytal clear. Nice sized, very healthy fish. Both released.

nice job amon, i live right here in waterford and like to fish cass early inthe spring like now and late summer early fall, before all the ski boats hit the water,That lake has some huge smallies...Also most people dont know some big lakers.Itsa some what hard lake to fish,because its so deep and the drop offs.Best part of this part of oakland co. is all the lakes its a urban fishermans dream.:coolgleam p.s. talk to ken at kd's bait sop he'll help out....
