I fished a tributary of east bay close to Traverse City several times in the last week. The place was just full of trout, lots of fresh fish coming in also.

Don't hang up those rods yet, plenty of trout still in alot of rivers.

Haven't heard from ya in a while!! I totally agree with ya! I'm still beating up the steelies and everyone "Thinks" it's over :)
I will admit that it's getting old, I'm glad that the hatches are starting.

I'm glad to hear that, my wife and I are heading to Canada on Mothers day weekend to fish the North Shore Of Lake Superior for steel. Don't know what rivers we'll fish, but I hope to find some fresh fish. To hear they are still moving into our systems tells me that my chances should be pretty goodup there. I'll certainly let all know.

About the only place that makes sense is Elk Rapids. there isn't much water for Mitchell Creek, or Acme. I quess the boardman could have had a few fish come in, but it won't be long before we can get into the summer runs downstate.

toto, you got it! Some of the males in there are scary, there huge! I seen a pike in there under one of the docks that had to go over 15 lbs. Suckers are staging just below the dam. It will not be to long before they start moving in.
Only problem there this year is its hard to get a decent drift, best bet is to bobber fish it, water is to slow.
