I may have the chance on Saturday to fish the Muskegon. Any tips on where to fish below the Croton upstream from Newago, where I can wade and still catch some fish? What flies are working now?

Sorry Steve,I don't know anything about fly fishing [ { I fish for trout}Ok, lame joke ]
I'm one of those pesky worm dunkers.Just about anywhere below the first set of riffles
{below the boat launch just down from Croton} should be ok.It's pretty easy water to read { although I don't know with this rain }.Good luck!

Steve, the trout like smaller stone fly nymphs right now, also you should stop at the sport shop down town Newaygo for all current river conditions. They have an excellant selction of fly's plus all accesories! Just ask for Bob. OK I'm a little predjudice he is my son. But he knows what's goin on! He does have STRICT orders from Me not to reveal certain locations. I think any where off the pine street landing would be your best bet. Good Luck!!
