I wanted to go up to my place this weekend s.of cheboygan.
can anyone tell me if the sucker are running yet?
pm me if nesicary please.I am kind of new to the area any help at all would be greatly appreciatted.

Caught a couple of fat ones in the Sturgeon last weekend trying for steelies...if you were there I woulda handed 'em off, but back in they went...god are they ugly...prolly 3-5lbs. each....

with all the help that no one gave me :mad:
I caught 2 suckers on the ocquiac.
I had a good time trying though. will try again next season

I don't get reports on the Ocqueoc, but the Thunder Bay river, in Alpena, is thick with Suckers right now - according to some people I know who live there. "So thick you can walk across on them," is what I have been told. That doesn't excite me, but I know some people like to catch them.

We picked up 4 of them in no time last week. My husband just filets them and he said its good eating.
