Barry Melrose was jut ESPN talking about how the Wings / Sharks Series is going to be the best out of the remaining 4. Very fast, and aggressive. I am ready, just don't know if the nerves can take it.

I have regular WOW Cable (as in: "wow I pay too much for cable") and don't get Versus (not willing to pay more for it anyway).

Looks like CBC is carrying Ottawa / NJ.... FSN is going with the Tigers...
and the Pistons are on 20 and 23... ESPN has the nfl draft special (yawn.)... ESPN2 has soccer...

I suppose the Royal Oak Brewery has Versus...
or I'm stuck with listening on the radio?

I love VS. It has a ton of fishing shows... and the Wings!!! Some cable/sat. systems will let you add a single channel... you may want to check into this possiblity at least for the rest of the hockey season!!

San Jose in 5.:( This one is automatic. I can GUARANTEE...that the San Jose Sharks will destroy our Detroit Red Wings in this series. Nabokov will post an automatic shutout in every game. Hasek will fail miserably. Nowone from San Jose is going to get hurt, everyone on Detroit will suffer tremendous injuries. We will be outshot, outsaved, outscored, outhit, and outplayed in every aspect of the game. There is absolutely no way, I repeat, it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for the Detroit Red Wings to win 4 games against San Jose. No way in hell. So there ya have it fellas. And I double dog dare any hockey god, to go ahead and try to prove me wrong. I will be correct this time hockey gods, so take that!:mad:

This really could be great series, they match up very well even strength and the only thing that killed the Wings Reg. season against the Sharks were PPG.

There was nothing special about San Jose special teams in the Nashville series, they were only 2 for 30 on ppg. I know, I know every series is different, I'm just pointing it out.

Cant wait till Thurs.........Oh and my prediction....7 games

The past 3 playoffs, I picked MY Wings to win the Cup every time. And every time they jobbed out. My Walleye partner pointed out to me that in 02, I picked the Wings to lose to Colorado in the Conference finals. I have hereby decided, that I am a Red Wing curse. I'm a jinx. So, there is absolutely no way, that the Wings can win this series against San Jose. It is 100% impossible for San Jose to lose this series to the Detroit Red Wings. I GAURANTEE this series as a Red Wing defeat!:rant:

Aside from the fact that I am a Red Wing curse, i disagree with your opinion whole-heartedly. I have a real opinion about this series (I am not about to dare say it aloud, or write it on here in front of the hockey gods) but your right, I am a Detroiter. I am a very proud Detroiter. And an avid Wings fan. I am incredibly lucky (and truly blessed) to have family members and in-laws that are connected to the team. I have a huge picture of me (along with way to much memorabilia, auto sticks, auto cards, etc., and crap) on the ice with the Wings team of '01. With all of that being said, however, that does not mean that I can never go against my Wings. I'm somewhat homer, but I'm not that much homer. I do tend to have alot of realist in me. And being the giant Wing fan that I am, I am fine with admitting our teams flaws. Whenever I feel outgunned, or overmatched against another team, I say it. Just because my loyalty lies with Detroit, doesn't mean that I can never feel, or never pick my Detroit teams to lose. I also happen to be a huge Lions fan, does that mean I can never go against the Lions??? I'll be honest, if we win this series (which we won't anyway hockey gods), but if, by some miracle we win this series against SJ, and we go up against Anaheim in the Conference Finals, I'm tellin ya right now I straight up honestly would expect Anaheim to beat us in a 7 game series. That's just how I feel. Anaheim just seems like a better playoff team than my Wings right now. Giguere, Pronger, Niedermayer, Beuechemin (sp?)....Jesus, how do you score on those guys!? You know what I'm saying though. I just wanted to clear that up. I'm gonna go to the grave as a Red Wing slappy, but I'm not gonna "homer" pick them to win the Cup every single year, c'mon.

Well the first series was a "no-brainer",, although I was off a bit, I was surprised Calgary even won a "game". This series is a bit tougher,,, I didn't get to see a whole lot of SJ against Nashville. I might have to see the first game before a prediction. My first thought is the Wings in 6, but if the Sharks "run at 'em" with their big bodies,, this might be a tough series for the Wings.

I have noticed as I channel surfed that along the bottom of my TV it had the Versus channel, but no picture appeared. So I just got off the phone with Millenium asking how I get the channel. Well the support gal tells me that it's just a slot set aside for when they DO add it, but for now, we do not have access. :rant: . So no Red Wings vs Sharks tomorrow. I guess I'll have to find some friends who have it to see the game. No wonder the NHL is so far down the list of major sports. How can an area like Michigan not be able to have access to wathing the NHL playoffs. Gary Bettman, you ares stupid, stupid, stupid. :rant: And I won't even go into the game 6 Calgary issues and they way you handled them.

I don't have cable or dish. I used to but with the economy the way it is...

Anyway I can only get radio reception about 1 night in 10! This is killing me! Last year I was watching these games this year I jump on MS to see what's going on in the game!!!
