What time is the curfew on the ausable down from Mio? Why do they have it? Is there any other strecthes of the river that have a curfew? Does it apply to all boats or just canoes? How would one fish a brown drake hatch or a hex hatch? Just curious I had never heard of the curfew before. Im a wading fly fisher anyways.
Thanks
Scott

Well call me curious but I had to do it. Called up the Mio field office a couple minutes ago and by goly there is a river curfew. To bad its a voluntary rule that has no efforcement end to it. Its made so that the canoe liveries have a rule to state to get there canoes off the river in time for people to fish at night. Canoers are asked to be off the river by 6:00pm but will not be forced to do so as it is a voluntary rule. It does not include drift boats or other fishing craft.. or for that matter canoes.

Hey sideshow
Thanks for the info. Now the curiosity is gone. I have read alot about this latley on this site and also the TSS. Some people seemed to be getting pretty offensive about the subject. Now maybe this will clear alot up for some people.
