Yeah your so right. I mean its been 18 full days into the season and hes drawn quite a few walks. Yeah he did get struck out tonight in the 9th. Looking is what killed me but the guy has a good eye so you cant blame him if hes wrong once or twice. Your totally right though I mean he should have 2 more homers than A Rod. Speaking of A Rod how did he do in the 9th tonight??? Sure most pitchers try and pitch around Sheff, hence the guys in front and just behind him have such high averages. Besides Tuesday he had a huge double to tye teh game, or does that not matter having a clutch 2 rbi??? I dont know about anyone else but I thought he was going to hit 90Hr's and have 200 RBIs this season. For christ sake its 3 weeks in and your whining about Sheffield not hitting now. I personally would rather have him hit in September and October. Thats just me though, I dont mind them not playing there best and being up at the top of the division. Still you guys are right, because if it was a 15 game season and the season ended today the tigers didnt get what they wanted from sheff. great point

Give him time, It's still early.
In New York, he had six bats in the line up as big, or bigger than his. Here, we expect him to do it all. The old saying "he's trying to do too much" fits. His quote after last nights game was about the fans and how much he wants to do for them.
More support for him - How can he get on base, score so many runs, and influence the outcome of so many games, hitting barely the weight of a young kid. There have been games where he gets no hits but scores two or three runs.
He's a pro.

FWIW, I believe Albert Pujols is doing about as bad as Sheffield right now.
Its still early, sheff has always hit near 300 and unless somethings different this year he will again, so that means theres a lot big hits in the future. He needs to relax and realize he has players around him who are pretty good too.
