Simcoe Ice-out info needed

Anyone ever been to Lake Simcoe for their ice-out. Just heard that they have open water in some areas. Wanted to know if the perch went to the shallows over there like they do here. Any info would be appreciated. Thinking of possibly making a run over this weekend or possibly next. Thanks!

Just to give you an update the ice is out in the bottom end of the lake (Cooksbay) talked to some guys today who were fishing and they had a great day caught lots of fish, still waiting for the lake to turn over that is when the fishing is the best they were fishing the pointsin about 10 to 24 fow. Some people fishing the docks in the marinas have been doing well on the crappies as well.
