I figure some of you will be hitting the water this weekend, can you please give water temps on the lakes you fish this weekend since i wont be able to get out due to family obligations. (i bet it would be a good papermouth weekend.)

Fremont is only in the low fourties. If not this week then by the end of the weekend. If someone gets into the crappies anywhere how about some temps and water depths.

I'm pretty optimistic about this weekend, either going to some inland lakes in oakland or canals in lsc...we'll see. Sunday looks to be great day for fishing...or at least a good burn:coolgleam

with this weekends light winds and bright sun the surface temp of my lake , Birch lake in Elk Rapids has risin to almost 50. But the smallies are going nutz. I see them everywhere moving up into the shallows already
the water temps about 55 or so on a small lake behind my house. lots of bluegills in shallow along with crappies, caught in a foot and a half of water.

Went out sunday, got niiice and red. Only caught a bunch of bass and a couple small bluegill, no signs of crappie off the drop-offs or in the shallow bays. Lake was still reeeeally cold. I would have temps to give but found out the summer transducer for my Lowrance has to be wired. Good luck to all.

This past weekend, with the water pretty clear, the temps were well over 50...nearly 56 in shallow...and crappies were pretty much up in the sticks doing their thing, very very skinny water, tough to get to the fish, and the one's bedding take a lot of workin' to get them to bite. Saw untold number of paired-up bass, accidently caught about a 6lber. Tiny gills in inches of water, don't bother, we tossed some waxworms on the drop off (4-6ft) and got some nice ones.
