After work today i decided to try some fishing. it was already 7 so i just headed to a small pond by my house. i was using a slip bobber with a #14 white and orange teardrop with waxworms. i was fishing a drop off in about 12' of water. I fished untill dark and landed over 20 gills. all were nice fish and had some good fight on my 5' ultra-lite. I was surprised by how great the fishin was. I saw a lot of fish hittin bugs on the water. im definatley planning on fishing both days this weekend with the boat. i hear its supposed to be in the 70s and sunny:coolgleam good luck to everyone

Shane try fishing around some structure. I have found gills shallow in two lakes down by my house and have beat up on them with a wax worm on a small ice fishing jig. I have a ultra light combo very similiair to what you just bought and you sure can sling a small bobber and jig a long way!
