Sorry to say that I only know one Tiger, Kenny Rogers. And that is only because of his name.

Granderson- I like this kid. I hope he keeps playing the game like he is for his whole career. I would take my kids to the ballpark to watch him.
I like B.I. too.

Nate Dog. That guy has developed great. HE hass the bull dog mentality. He throws around the plate and inside. I shudder to think what a couple of the other pitchers with better stuff could do if they had Robertsons mentality.

I have to go with Polanco. He's a very solid contact hitter and he's the only Tiger that can consistently lay down a bunt.
On that note, why don't they send Granderson running with Polanco hitting???

Pudge or Polanco. Polanco is one of, if not the best bat in baseball.
But if I had to pick one player to bat with 2 down in the bottom of the 9th in game seven of the World Series, down by 1 run and a man on base, it would be Pudge.

but really...i like BONDO
Kenny Rogers, but I really like Granderson too, that kid is always giving it his all. My 6 yr old is a Pudge fanatic. 9 yr old has a toss up between Mags and Zumaya.

I would go with zoom-zoom Zumaya, love to hear that glove crack when he throws the gas and Inge because he is great out at third base (though the batting avg. is down a bit so far this year).

Inge is the best 3rd baseman in the league

Inge is the best 3rd baseman in the league
Joe Crede and Scott Rolen might have an argument there. Inge is definitely in the top 5.
Those guys commit less errors, and have better hitting stats too.

I'm an Inge fan too. He's a human highlight film. Definately the best glove in the league at third.

From a fielding perspective, hes way behind Chavez (6 Gold Gloves) and Rolen (7 GG's) just to name two.
Hitting wise, he's not even above the Mendoza line....in fact he's not even close to it.

Hopefully he'll start getting more respect if the Tigers keep winning. I'm not denying he has a weak bat. I'm sure if he was better at the plate he would get a lot more votes.

Hitting doesn't have anything to do with gold gloves. He has respect from the Baseball Tonight guys, but he needs to decrease the errors.
Crede has every bit the range and arm that Inge does and he had only 11 errors last year.
Inge has a lot of potential, but I don't see him being a full time 3rd Baseman much longer. I think they'll have a new 3rd baseman in the next season or two, and Inge will take a more active utility role. He won't sit on the bench but will revolve around the field more. The guy has the athleticism and smarts to play any position on the field. And he was his college team's closer and shortstop his senior year.

or maybe you should say...it "shouldnt" have anything to do with gold gloves, because it most certainly plays a part now a days.

Hitting has a lot to do with gold gloves. In 1999 Palmeiro won a gold glove at first base even though he played 28 games at that postion. He didn't make many errors though.
Crede doesn't have the range that Inge has. Last year Inge had a zone rating of .825 compared to .790 for Crede. Zone rating measures the percentage of balls fielded in a players typical defensive zone. Range factor measures a players ability to make plays. It's defined as (PO+A)/innings. Inge led all third basemen at 3.45 compared to 3.24 for Crede. Inge also led thirdbasemen in total chances at 555. Beltre was second with 474. He may have had more errors than Crede, but he was a hell of a lot busier.

Don't get me wrong...I want to see him suceed, but he needs to start swinging for contact instead of trying to put everything out of the park. He nearly swings out of his shoes.
Hopefully he picks it up a lil bit

I'm not denying he needs some help at the plate. I'm just saying he can play third as good as anyone else.
I agree that Inge is a good defensive 3rd baseman, and Casey is a fine defensive !st baseman. All that defense means squat if they both continue to hit at the clip they are right now. You cant have offensive duds playing both those positions.

Brandon is the guy...watched him as a Whitecap (Class A GR affiliate). I remember seeing this kid come to the plate as a "power-hitter/slugger" and thinking he looked as big as Ferris Bueller...then, pow - smacks one deep. It didn't go out, but you could see the power...
Then watching him bounce around as a utility guy, and easily being one of the most athletic fielders, he is still underrated. He seemed to be in the higlight reel on the hot corner every week last year and is only getting better.
Sticking it out with the team through the hundreds of losses and being a part of its success without being a prima donna is Detroit at its best.
