Jig Or Troll For Walleyes?

When should I troll for walleyes? When should I jig for walleyes? Is one way more effective than the other?

EVeryone has there preference. Depends on lots of factors including is it a good lake to troll based on structure and where the fish are. Where are the fish? Are they in the weeds? tough to get out when trolling. Sometimes trolling is more productive when you can cover more water to find the fish. Not sure how to say more consistent at times but you wont always catch more fish if that makes any sense.

Are the Walleyes concentrated is a particular area - try jigging. Are they spread out - scattered along a breakline, or roaming a weedy flat, trolling will put Your lure in front of more fish/cover more water. C-man
