Could anyone tell me of a good book that illustrates how to tie steelhead flies used in michigan? I would really like to try and tie some. Thank you and good fishing to all.

Have you tried the fly library at the home page? There are approx. 50 patterns in there that should get you started.

I am not sure about books, but if you need a recipe for s specific pattern, let us know. Sttelhead flies are great because they are easy to tie (for the most part).
The fly library on this site is a good place to look. As far as books, check out Great Lakes Steelhead by Bob Linesenman and Steve Nevala as well as Steelhead Dreams by Matt Supinski. Both have color pages with pictures of the flies and recipes for teh materials needed. These books do not have step-by-step instructions, but if you have some basic fly tying skills you should be able to tie many of the flies. I believe you can get the Linsenman book through this site also. Good luck.
