They looked like a spark lit tonight. The bats have been pretty dead, along with all the other teams not taking BP due to the cold, but the Tiger pitching has looked promising.
My long shot prediction pick, Robertson starts All Star game.

Inge got going tonight but the others are going to have to get on the ball 'cuz the Twinkies look tough.

Yeah, but the Twins have been recently at home, in the 70 degree dome and taking BP. The bats should be hotter. The Tigers get into a warm dome in Toronto and things spark a bit.
I'm just repeating what the broadcasters stated. Makes sense though.

You all think the tigers are gonna make it again to the world series. If they do maybe this time they will win.

We can only hope, I mean it was awesome watching them at the bars and being able to play ball after Sept. I am excited about this season!

We can only dream that they make the first round of the playoff's, nothing more. IMHO. From there, anything can happen, or not. But if they lost the first round of the playoff's, it's a very, very successful season.

I'll admit I'm not much of a Tigers fan, but the lady is. I actually caught myself shutting her out watching it:lol: .....I have a funny feeling I'm starting to like it a little bit. Not as much as roadracing, hunting, and fishing, but I'll be watching more.:)

if i have the time to watch a game this season ill be happy...still have yet to get down and see the new park.....have a lot of memories at that old tiger stadium though....even caught a ball one time...right in the knee cap..but that was back when people still acted right and the man who ended up with the ball gave it to my mother as they were carrying me to the medical station lol.....where ever you are thanks for giving the ball to me...it ended up being signed by Roy Smalley....but Kriby Puckett hit me with it :D

Good pick but if you look at the stats Verlander has pitched just as good but he hasn`t had any run support to get him a win, 0.00 ERA. Nate is wearing out the strike zone though and looking real good.
Do you think we see a 20 game winner from this group this year??? ;)

20 game winner? Tough to say. Add Bondo to the question and there's certainly the potential. What may make it more difficult is the quality Tiger bullpen. In the past, more pitchers would go full games. Now, if the game is tied in the 6th or 7th, our starters may very well get pulled for the early set up guys, then Joel Z, then Jones and the pen may account for enough actual wins to make it tough for a starter to get 20. Dunno. Personally I'm only interested in the team W-L record and team ERA. I don't care which pitcher actually gets the W. ;) :D

Kenny Rogers is the wild card in all of this. If he doesn't return to last years form when he comes off the DL the Tigers won't make the playoffs.

I think Kenny will need to contrubute but I don't think he will need to post the numbers he had last year for the Tigers to make the playoffs. The others with the exception fo Verlander can all be considered veterans and should know what needs to be done to set themselves up for the W. Don't get me wrong, I think the Gambler's presence is desperately needed in the dugout.

I still think they will need to win the Central to make the playoffs as the wild card will be held by an East team.
