Gulp ! ,either of the minnow imitators, split tails or the paddle tail style. For that matter, a 3" - 4" piece of a natural color turtle back Gulp ! worm works fantastic. ;) (Shhh, it's a secret)

Any of the imitation Leeches work well on a jig and have been playing around with Lindys Ring Worms with some sucsess too. Fuzzy Grub bodies are a standard also. Haven't tried plastics on a Rig, but on harnesses Gulp worms RULE. Haven't used a real crawler in a couple three years ! C-man

I second the ring worms. Not sure if the catch rate is much better than real but they sure are a lot cheaper and cleaner in the long run......although I have a bag of the leeches I have tried for 2 years now and have yet to catch a fish on them, but that could also be my fault too.......
