Has anyone fished that? If so it looks like it is a very large lake over 1860 acres, where are some good spots to start looking for pike?

Try the mouth of the Yellow Dog for pike in the spring.

Lake is big, but there's lots of big fish in there.

Right after the opener, another good spot is the stump field in the south east corner. Big buzzbaits can draw some savage strikes.

I believe the mouth of the Y.D. is at the same area(SE) where the stumps are. Summer trolling at sundown is good for walleyes parallel and out a few hundred yards from the north shore. Same for smallmouths and they are usually big. Perch fishing in late summer with big night crawlers in the weed beds along the north shore in about 8-10 FOW is likely to produce more than a few jumbos. Lake I. is really good fishing....lots of several different species and a good chance at landing a lunker. Good luck.:D

When I was young my family used to vacation there every summer. For pike , we always had luck in front of the tube coming out of Mckensy Bay. Lots of walleye but don't get very big. Perch on the other hand were of good size. And yes, some decent smallies. Take warm clothes, the wind off Lk. Superior can be cold even in the summer.
