I caught this huge bass during my Spring Break trip to Tennessee. It weighed 8 1/2 lbs and was 24 inches long. It qualifies for a Tenn Master Angler Award.

The down side is that the bass fishing shows that I used to watch so regularly, have lost their appeal. They seem to catch the smallest fish on thoose shows!;)

That's a great fish!

Nothing beats catching an old hog like that.

Eastern Tennessee in Cuberland County. It was a Lake called Dartmoor Lake. They have a marina there and I was planning on renting a boat to head out to catch walleyes. I decided to wait and fish off the docks first, and rent a boat later in the week. I actually caught this off the dock!

I was using a plastic purple worm with an augar tail. I attached it to a white walleye jig head. 8 lb. test line.

Yup, this is a wall hanger, currently in my freezer debating on who to have do the job.

Yea i agree with you blue, they catch those small bass and they hoot 'n holler and put them right in the camera to make them look huge. Thats a very nice bass, definately a wall hanger. The best bass show i saw was a tourney on ray martin's private lake and roland martin was culling 8 pound bass!

Did you watch the bassmasters that was aired this weekend on Clear Lake in CA???? Holy Crap, biggest bass for the tourney was over 12lb. I don't know how many guys have stringers over the 100lb mark. Two guys broke the past record for stringers with over 112lbs. Most entertaining 1hour of tv I've watched in a long time. Both my brothers are over in CA bass fishing as I type this....I am so jealous.

By the way, Great Bass!!! I'm jealous again!

WOW, that is a great fish no matter where your fishing. I actually haven't watched bass fishing shows in a long time, unless they are on say St.Clair or something. My biggest largie is around 6.5lbs from Kent Lake, use to be my avator but i thought i should update it since i think i was only like 12 or 13 in that picture. Bro also caught a 7-7.5lber from that same spot, and we land quite a few 5-6lbers. That would deffinently be a rare fish in Michigan, but, i'm sure that is just another hogger in Tn.

There were at least four guys whos stringers were over 100 lbs. Those southern bass do get huge. You watch Roland Martin and Bill Dance and they catch 7-10lbs bass almost every show. Those southern lakes have a continual growing season so the bass get quite larger then the northern states. Nice fish btw.
