View Full Version : Best place to get an onboard battery charger?

Going to look at a boat tomorrow that doesn't have an onboard charger. Boat is currently a 2 battery system, but since I have several batteries of my own I would like to make it into a 3 battery system (starting, electronics, trolling motor). I could probably get away with a 2 bank charger since the starting battery more or less will recharge itself when the motor is running. So, where is a good place to look for a quick recovery charger?? Any recommended brands??

Wait for the next BPS ad to come out. Usually have one on sale.

Spring Classic I bought a 3-bank 20 charger for $149, $30 off.

Walleye Mike is right. BPS seems to put on one great sale on these per year, and it is definitely worth waiting for, because the price is considerably lower than any one else.

Any idea when this might happen?? I HOPE to be picking the boat up this Saturday (pending a sea trial of course) and would like to jump right into rigging it the way I want. Pike and eye season is almost here!!!

Just looked at Gander. $99.99 for a minkota 2 bank 10 amp. Not a bad price at all.

If you need one now, you're not going to save that much by waiting for the sale - maybe $30. I picked up a 3 bank charger at Gander back in November for a good price. It's been plugged in to the boat all winter and works great. I think it's a promite, or promate or something.
