Central michigan is a decent size area, could you narrow it down a bit and then maybe I could help. Filling out your user profile would help a great deal also, then people would know what area your in!

I fish the Floods every year. It is outstanding for numbers. You can easily catch 10-20 pike per person a day. A 42 incher was pulled out of there last year. You can see it mounted in Lyons landings tackle shop, if it's still there. It's very weedy so use weedless lures. I prefer safety pin style spinner baits myself. Chart, chart/white, white, chart/green all work great. June is a great time to go after them there. While fishing for pike you will also be pulling in some monster bass. It's my favorite lake to fish.:D Stay along the main channel for the biggest fish. Good luck.

I talked to one of the guys at Jacks landing after ice out and he said the pike numbers should be up this year. This is due to a reduction in the amount that were pulled out during the ice fishing season. I guess the previous couple years the pike were just slaughter during hard water. The pike spawn was anticipated to be real good this year.
