I was wondering if you guys know any secrets or methods of removing the white stuff (fogging) on the clear part on you fish graphs? Just bought a Lowrance LMS-350 off a guy and the screen is a little fogged up....tried a few things but nothing seemed to work.....Thanks....Mack

bring it inside and put it next to a heat duct in your house.

Try an automobile cleaner wax.

Sounds like He used an amonia based cleaner on it - bad stuff for electronic screens. I think You might have to live with it  . C-man

You might want to check an eyeglass place. I know they have cleaners that will take the scratches out, just a thought.

With the amonia based cleaners, there is a chemical reaction with the screen coating - it's not scratches, You're pretty much screwed. Bet that's why He sold it. C-man

Its not so bad that you can't see anything at all........I think I did ok on it for 15 bucks for a graph with a GPS.....If worse comes to worse I will sell it on e-bay I'm sure I can get my 15 bucks back...........Mack

BRM ,
You'll probably need to use "rougher" rubbbing compound to remove the milky plastic & get down to the clearer stuff and with all those buttons up -n- down the sides of the screen , it's gunna be a b!tccc|-| to get cleared up .(I used to have an X70 - sonar only version so I know what this puppy looks like!)
I left the 'peel coat' from the factory on my screen & it was immaculate !
Cripes for $15 if it works - you're doing pretty good man!
Only 200 vertical pixels - but that machine STILL marks fish well , even compared to the newer stuff.

I was watching Ship Shape TV one day and they were showing how to clean the plexiglas hatch cover.
It too was scratched and discolored.
They were using Flitz, it's a polishing compound.
They were able to bring back the look as if it were new.
This might work on your screen, if not, call Lowrance as see if they can replace the screen.

While I was in alaska I used a blued rifle in the salt water to hunt bears. bad surface rust on the barrel. So I stopped at a local gun shop and that shop owner had some of this Flitz stuff and he said it did everything. I am very impressed with it. It really cleaned up the barrel on my rifle and I used it on several other things with good success.
Mack I still have the tube of flitz if you wanna give it a try let me know. PB

Not to hi-jack this thread, but what are all of you using to remove water marks from the screen? I have a LMS334C and so far have just used the microfiber cleaning cloth supplied with the unit, but it still leaves that little water residue. Tight Lines.

I use WATER and a very soft towel to clean my screen. I just don't trust any chemicals on something I paid good money for.
But, Flitz is a great product... I've used it to shine dull and tarnished metal parts.. but have never tried it on clear plastics.

I thought they recommend a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcohol and distilled water....not sure....I'll check my instructions in the garage in the empty box!.......just checked....yep... alcohol and water.....or it says windex....but no Ammonia....My windex has Ammonia D in it???
