USA lightning map

I thought this may be helpful to check before heading out on the water.

This map displays recent lightning activity (https://thunderstorm.vaisala.com/tux/jsp/explorer/explorer.jsp)across the entire continental U.S. The lightning data displayed is 20 minutes delayed and updated every 20 minutes. The map shows a 2-hour time period with lightning data color coded in 20-minute increments.

There are some bigguns with our areas written all over them in Illinois and western Indiana for this afternoon...I expect a severe t-storm watch issued shortly for the SE and southcentral portions of lower MI...
