not familiar with these, so a question for you. are these able to mounted on a boat for soft water use? if so, my cousin will be very interested in this.:fish:

Vexilar sells a "spare" Gimbal Mount to affix to the boat and the IceDucers have a foam float to "dangle" in the hole - so it CAN be rigged for boat use - but not without purchase of a transom or trolling motor type mounting transducer , which is also sold on the Vexilar website. I know there's a few guys bring the "portable" box onboard & run them that way....
Probably not what your cousin would be looking for , due to the cost involved - but it can be setup that way.
