I assume no place to fish with a 30MPH west wind Monday? I know the answer, just wanted to go out!

keep in mind yesterday's reports were calling for 15-18mph winds with gusts up to 32 mph and it was nice and calm.

Let 'er blow!
and blow it is.....just got done working at the state theatre downtown and it was ripping from the south... I don't mind the west wind, but that south wind makes it pretty crappy out there.
Still beats working......

I agree, West=Best East=LeastI disagree, with winds Sat and Sun that came out of some what of the east it was limits for me both days. Had other days when wind from the east was by far the best days to be out. Just my opinion.

You obviously were not out yesterday afternoon! With the wind howling from the south, we had to run the kicker and steer with the bowmount to keep the boat moving forward.

south wind would make it rough below the stacks in trenton, but remember it also holds your boat into the current makeing it easy to stay on them longer..find them would be the ??ive never been where i cant fish somewheres with any wind lower Dr its a ditch so there would be somewheres u can find to fish..GOOD LUCK Mark

Fished all Weekend out of Wyondotte and Trenton, Limit for two guys both days. Fish are in the 2lb Class with 3lb and larger sperattic. Water clarity was alright on Saturday, Wind was very cold however. Sunday started real wet, no wind, lots of fog, fishing was very good in trenton on Sunday. Allot of smaller ones (good eaters). Everyone seem to do well on Sunday. We managed to catch the last five of our limit in the wind. Wind does make for a tuff drift, but if you can do it, limits can be had.

Well, my buddy and I went out in the gusty winds yesterday. We weren't expecting to catch anything due to the winds. After getting soaked going to the pack of boats, I turned on the trolling motor. It got so frustrating trying to steer it, so I just turned it off and drifted. It was my first time using a trolling motor trying to "vertical jig." (It's harder than it looks!) We ended up with (7) fish; one fat boy and six eaters. All caught on Jigs and minnows.
Lots of CG's and Police boats out yesterday......

I saw a weather forcast calling for under 20mph for Monday so I and a good fisherman went. Forcast was wrong never saw under 20 mph until after 7pm. Did learn we can vertical jig in 3 foot waves under the ambassador bridge. No luck thier though. :fish2:
