Does anyone reuse pork trailers? I mean, after fishing with them, putting them back into the can of liquid to be used another day? How about with the soft plastic chunks - putting them back in the bag for reuse? I've always tossed them, but a buddy of mine reuses them a few times if they are not damaged. The pork trailers are fairly expensive anyway, so reusing them seems like a good idea.

Pork is a pain in the butt!! It's hard to get on the hook, and harder to get it off. I switched to Zoom plastic chunks and caught just as many fish, but those got torn up really easily. Try using the Strike King 3X trailers. I know alot of guys aren't fans of the 3X plastics, and neither am I. Except for this one. It easily outlasts the life of your jig, and catches just as many, if not more fish. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

The question, though, was about reusing these, not which is better. Each has different applications and advantages. Does anyone reuse either?

I reuse plastics if they're undamaged after i remove them from the hook. I don't see why you would toss them if they are almost as good as new.

I don't use pork so no comment on that. But I do use the plastics and I will reuse them untill they are damaged. No reason not to.

when i used pork, i did re-use them. remove them from the hook and put back into jar for another day.
while out fishing, and you have a jig-and-pig on a rod (with pork) hang it over the edge of the boat so it is just under the surface of the water. if you are in a tournament, carry a small plastic container with you to store it when it isn't in use.:fish:
