I went 1 for 4 yesterday running jigs and wiggies fishing holes. What is your top producer this time of year? Never tried bags. Skein and snell rig seems to produce when we have it.

Jigs and wiggies are excellent just a bit later, jigs and wax work all the time (summer too), and bags are still my goto right now (fresh of course). I run my pin all the time unless chucking hardware and as soon as the steelies are done enough for me, it's walleye time at home in OH. Spring is amazing-Baseball, steelhead and right into the best time of year for casting for wallygators in OH.

Back to jigs though, you can hit'em on jigs all the time on your pin. Hope that helps!

You mentioned snelling skien, I can't stand the mess and hassel! I would tie bags, you can tie great big ones if you want.

We had a little test back in January. I fished a Skein and snell rig and my buddie with bags tied from the same batch. I caught 2 steelies and 1\2 a dozen browns, while he caught 1 brown. No joke! Both of us using the same floats, shot, leader and everything. The only draw back is the mess and you get "stinkey fingers" for a few days!!
