Went out searching for Elk sheds this afternoon. If you enjoy nice spring walks this is a must do.
A group of us ventured north/west of Atlanta and spent the better part of the afternoon looking for sheds. This is truly hunting, talk about finding a needle in a hay stack. All in all we did very good. One of my buddies found a matching set from a 6x6. The antlers were no more than 15 yards apart and they are beautiful. These antler are from a very mature elk. Another guy found a much younger/smaller shed of another 6x? All in all a great way to spend an afternoon. If you have not tried this give it a try.
