How should I approach my tree stand it has brush all over it should cut the brush and make my own path?

Yup. Do it now though so the deer get used to it. Remember to cut the small stuff too because it may obstruct your view in or could be noisy when it has leaves on it. At least just nip the buds so leaves don't grow this year.

I have created runways past my stand like that. The deer follow the path of least resistance and after a season or two they adopt my path as their own. Remember that if you want to funnel deer to your advantage

Just use the Bigfoot trail. ;) Sorry, I couldn't resist. :D
I agree with the others, do it now to clear all the big stuff out of the way. You'll have to trim the little stuff before season, but most of the work will already be done. You can also, make the deer follow a trail YOU want them to use by doing the same thing right now. Clear a trail past your stand so you can get multiple shots off, and they'll find it and use it.

Howdy-
The above advice is fine IF you hunt on private property.
The DNR doesn't take too kindly to folks hacking out their own trails through the woods.....;)
