what a memory! I remember jumping out of my chair when this began (by none other than Igor Larionov). WDFN interviewed Claude last week and replayed it this morning. McCarty is being interviewed right now.
Can you beleive this was 10 years ago!?

I loved it when Shanny came flyin' out of nowhere:lol: Man, back before the pussification of the NHL, gotta love it.......
I'll never forget round II, when Roy and ozgood went at it, as I was listening to it on the car radio. I had just dropped my wife off at the emergency room as she was about to deliver our second child. I found a parking spot just as the fight began. I had the door open, one foot out....but couldn't leave. "Now Roy is standing at center ice challenging Ozgood to a fight....and there goes Ozgood....a right....a left.....
When I finally made it to the delivery room the wife asked me what took me so long.....Note: Honesty is not necessarily the best policy.;)
Goooood times.

That moment was the turning point for the wings in 97. It's all anyone was talking about the next day! How I miss that kind of hockey.

I was at this game! It was great!!! Although I will never forget the original brawl. That was the turning point. Everyone just knew they were going to win the cup!

Well I, for one, still watch. As a matter of fact, tonight I'll be getting my first in-person look at Bertuzzi donning the winged-wheel! ...and loving every minute of it. :D

I was watching the game in room 111 of Halverson Hall at NMU. You could instantly tell who else in the hallway was watching the game.
God, 10 years ago already........ I'm getting old.:(

Ha! Row 9, lower bowl, right next to the zamboni tunnel. What a blast that game was!!
I was also at a Griffens game a couple years ago when all 5 players AND the goalies went at it. Delayed the game over a half an hour. But man was it worth it!!

I used to love to watch the games but back in the 90's when they blacked out playoff games and I couldnt watch them on regular tv or you had to have fox to watch a game!!!!!!! B/S.....
That and as Kush stated I could care less anymore. Blue streaks for pucks and Matinee Games.... B/S,, It just dosent seem like hockey anymore!

It was the day after my mom died, the whole family was there. After a downer of a day everyone was watching and cheering, even my dad! I swear my sainted mother even got a punch in on the evil Lemiux! For such a sad time ...what a great memory!
